Shipping Policy

1. Where we ship

We ship to the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, and to selected destinations elsewhere, subject to export controls and local import rules.

Some countries are excluded because of sanctions, export restrictions or carrier limitations. If we cannot ship to your address, we will tell you before taking payment, or refund you in full if it emerges afterwards.

2. Processing and dispatch

Retail orders are prepared within 2 to 5 business days of payment clearing. Business days exclude weekends and Slovenian public holidays.

Kickstarter units ship in batches according to the fulfilment schedule published with the campaign. Backers receive their shipping window and tracking details by email; delivery estimates given during a crowdfunding campaign are estimates, not guaranteed dates.

You will receive a dispatch confirmation with a tracking number when your parcel leaves us.

3. Delivery times and costs

Indicative transit times once dispatched:

• Slovenia — 1 to 2 business days
• European Union — 3 to 7 business days
• United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway — 4 to 10 business days, plus customs clearance
• Rest of world — 7 to 21 business days, plus customs clearance

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout, or stated in the campaign, based on destination and service level. Transit times are provided by our carriers and are not guaranteed; customs inspections, weather and carrier backlogs can add delay.

Every shipment is tracked and insured for its value while in transit.

4. Duties, import VAT and taxes

Within the European Union, no customs formalities apply and no additional import charges arise. DAI d.o.o. is not currently registered for VAT in Slovenia, so invoices do not include Slovenian VAT; if that changes, VAT will be shown separately.

Outside the European Union, your shipment is subject to the import rules of the destination country. Unless the checkout or campaign explicitly states "duties included", the recipient is responsible for import duties, import VAT or sales tax, and customs brokerage or handling fees. These are charged by the authorities and the carrier, not by us, and we cannot predict or refund them.

Where a crowdfunding pledge states that customs duties are included, that covers duty only — consumption tax, VAT and equivalent local taxes remain payable by the recipient.

We declare shipments accurately at their full commercial value. We cannot mark parcels as gifts or under-declare their value, as this is unlawful.

5. Addresses and refused deliveries

Please check your delivery address carefully. You can ask us to change it any time before dispatch by emailing ruslan@dai-mvp.online; once a parcel is with the carrier, changes may not be possible.

If a parcel is returned to us because the address was incorrect or incomplete, because delivery was repeatedly refused, or because import charges or clearance documents were not provided, we will refund the price of the goods less the shipping and return costs actually incurred. Re-dispatch is charged at cost.

6. Lost, delayed or damaged parcels

Risk of loss or damage passes to you when you, or a carrier you appointed yourself, take physical possession of the goods.

If tracking shows no movement for 10 business days, contact us and we will open an investigation with the carrier.

If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, note it with the carrier where possible and contact us within 7 days of delivery with photographs of the outer packaging and the product, keeping all packaging until the claim is resolved. See the Refund & Warranty Policy.

7. Packaging and compliance

The DAI Node ships in protective packaging designed for transport of electronic equipment. Units containing batteries are shipped in accordance with applicable dangerous goods rules for lithium batteries, which may restrict certain air services and destinations.

Packaging materials are recyclable. Please dispose of them through your local recycling scheme.
