This Privacy Policy explains how DAI, razvoj umetne inteligence in programske opreme, d.o.o. ("DAI", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit dai.company, join the DAI Node waitlist, or contact us.

We are the data controller for the processing described here. We process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Slovenian Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-2).

1. Who we are

The controller responsible for your personal data is:

DAI, razvoj umetne inteligence in programske opreme, d.o.o.
Pečovnik 12, 3000 Celje, Slovenia
Registration number: 7457952000 · Tax number: 77637704
Email: ruslan@dai-mvp.online

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to do so. All privacy requests are handled at the address above.

2. What personal data we process

dai.company is currently a presentation website for the DAI Node and the upcoming Kickstarter campaign. We deliberately keep data collection minimal.

Waitlist data

If you join the waitlist, we process the email address you submit, the language version of the site you used, and the date and time of your submission.

Correspondence

If you write to us, we process your email address, your name if you provide it, and the content of your message so that we can reply and keep a record of the exchange.

Technical data

Our hosting provider records standard server log data, including IP address, requested URL, timestamp, referrer and browser user agent. This is generated automatically by the act of loading a web page and is used to operate and secure the site.

What we do not do

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, behavioural profiling or automated decision-making that produces legal effects for you. We do not sell personal data. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

3. Why we process it, and on what legal basis

  • Waitlist notifications — to tell you when the Kickstarter campaign opens and to provide your launch discount. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by ticking the consent box.
  • Responding to enquiries — to answer questions you send us. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in communicating with people who contact us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), or steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Operating and securing the website — to deliver pages, diagnose faults and prevent abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a functioning, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Legal compliance — to meet accounting, tax and other statutory obligations where they apply. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

When the DAI Node becomes available to order, we will process order, delivery and payment data on the basis of contract performance. This policy will be updated before that processing begins.

4. Who receives your data

We share personal data only with service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent they need it. These act as processors under written agreements:

  • our website hosting provider, which stores and delivers the site and its log data
  • our email and form service provider, which stores waitlist submissions and delivers our messages
  • professional advisers such as accountants or lawyers, where legally necessary

We may disclose data to competent authorities where we are legally required to do so. We do not otherwise transfer personal data to third parties.

If a service provider is located outside the European Economic Area, we rely on an adequacy decision of the European Commission or on the Standard Contractual Clauses, together with any supplementary measures required.

5. How long we keep it

  • Waitlist data — until the Kickstarter campaign has concluded and the launch discount has been honoured, or until you withdraw consent, whichever comes first.
  • Correspondence — for up to two years after our last exchange, unless a longer period is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
  • Server logs — for a short technical period, normally no longer than 12 months.

When a retention period ends, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it
  • rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
  • erase your data ("right to be forgotten") where the conditions are met
  • restrict processing in defined circumstances
  • data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal

To exercise any of these rights, email ruslan@dai-mvp.online. We respond within one month; where a request is complex we may extend this by a further two months and will tell you if we do. Exercising your rights is free of charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

You can leave the waitlist at any time by replying to any message from us or by writing to the address above. We will delete your email address on request.

If you believe we are processing your data unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Slovenian supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec), Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia — or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

dai.company is a static website. It does not set advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not embed third-party trackers, social media widgets or externally hosted fonts.

Your browser may store items strictly necessary for the site to function, such as your chosen language version. These are exempt from the consent requirement under the ePrivacy Directive because they are essential to a service you requested. If we later introduce analytics, we will ask for your consent first.

8. Security

The site is served over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to waitlist data is limited to people within DAI who need it, and is protected by strong authentication.

No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure. If a personal data breach is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the supervisory authority as required by Articles 33 and 34 GDPR.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services or in the law — in particular when the DAI Node store and the DAI Network service go live. The current version is always published on this page with the date it was last updated. Where a change materially affects you, we will give notice by email if we hold your address.

10. Contact

For any question about this policy or about how we handle your personal data, write to ruslan@dai-mvp.online or to DAI d.o.o., Pečovnik 12, 3000 Celje, Slovenia.
